Dear friends,

The school year is over a new one is starting and there remains significant uncertainty about how this year will unfold, we are in the process of closing the books for this past year. As you are aware, we had to cancel the auction.

The annual auction has been a significant part of the LCCS annual budget for over 15 years - typically ~ $10,000. From time to time we have talked, albeit jokingly, about not doing an auction but just sending out requests for donations. Well, thanks to COVID, now is the time!

All of us have been impacted in a variety of ways by this disaster, some worse than others. However, if your situation is such that you have the ability to help with a contribution - what you might have spent at the auction - this would be hugely beneficial to our situation. The good news - the entire amount is tax deductible! Our plan is to have this effort completed by the end of August.

As a result of the COVID crisis some there is a $4700 matching grant for student aid. It will benefit those families that have been impacted by reduced hours or loss of work.

As we look forward to the 2020-2021 year, we urgently ask for your prayers. There are opportunities provided by the current situation and our staff and school board are looking at several creative possibilities. We are going to be providing emergency childcare so that our students. This is a much-needed service to the community. We have also hired a new teacher Angie Wright to teach our Kindergarten. We have great things happening this fall. It would so much easier if it didn’t change every week though.

Thank you for your support of this important mission to our community.

Our Goal this year is $50,000. That should cover last year's auction and this year's.

You can donate several ways.

  • We have set up a donation service linked to this website use the donate button.
  • You can send a check marked with what you would like to donate towards.

God bless and stay safe.
